Juan here, owner of Deadly Print Studio. This is a different kind of post — one of those special ones.
Last September, I had the incredible opportunity to visit our friends at Play On Tabletop. I flew all the way from Spain to Canada — a very long trip, but absolutely worth it!
I carefully packed up my personal T’au army and got ready to have some fun with the PoT team. As a fan and long-time sponsor, visiting the studio was truly a dream come true.
I only have good words for the warm welcome from the entire team and for the chance to be a (very happy!) small part of it for three days.
A big hug to Tak — he drove me everywhere so I could taste the amazing food in Vancouver. As an entrepreneur, getting to see one of the best YouTube channels in the hobby from the inside, and having long talks with Tak about business, creativity, and the hobby, was an experience I’ll never forget.
I also have to thank T’au Nick for the two fantastic matches. I had so much fun playing with him in the studio!
First, we recorded this explosive episode: two T’au players vs. Tyranids.
Let me just say… more than 50 mortal wounds from Deadly Demise. Absolutely crazy!
The second episode was more competitive. As weird as it sounds, Nick brought Salamanders (full of amazing FX and beautifully painted by the PoT painting team) against my T’au.
As a casual player, I gave it my best! Nick helped me a lot with decision-making, and the match was intense and exciting right until the very end.
I was completely exhausted from the jet lag and the travel, but experiences like this make it all worth it.
Thank you again to the entire PoT team — we’ll continue working together in this amazing hobby!
And a very special thank you to my old friend Hedi. We worked together at Industrial Light & Magic in London, and it was such a pleasure to catch up and talk about the “fun times.” He is now an FX Supervisor at ILM Vancouver and truly one of the best people I’ve had the luck to meet in my 11 years in the film industry. ❤️

Without our amazing customers and supporters, this small idea born in a hobby room would have never crossed oceans, rolled dice in Canada, or deployed T’au on the legendary tables of Play On Tabletop.
So from the bottom of my heart: thank you for helping this humble hobbyist level up his dream business — one design, one print, another epic project at a time.
Now… let’s keep printing, keep painting, and keep rolling those 6s.
